In response to the feedback we have received from our members in the past few months the Boston Entrepreneur's Group is rolling out some new rules. In order to increase the value that this group provides to its members we need to implement several changes:
1. Once the table discussion begins, during introductions and group discussion, please refrain from making any sales pitches for a particular event, product, or service 'specials'. Your introduction may include an elevator pitch, but should be used as your opportunity to educate the group on your business and the reason you chose to attend the meeting.
2. Do not add any attendees, connections, or members that you meet at an event to your newsletter and mailing lists unless given permission to do so by that particular individual.
We are putting these rules in place in order to promote the desired culture of the group, which is a platform to really
contribute value to your peers, help each other succeed, and form long lasting business relationships. We hope that these actions will address the concerns that have been raised as of late.
Failure to observe these rules may result in removal from the Meet-up group mailing list.
We thank you all for your attendance and contributions to the group. We are rolling out some new programing, including morning meetings, Waltham meetings, and invitation only events (for our regulars!). We also have another quarterly networking event being planned, as well as two information panels on legal issues and trade secret protocols.
We will see you all there!
