I like the idea of the format and I think it's execution was not bad but I would ask for both mentors and mentee's to be made more explicit about their roles and the format of the exercise. In particular I think the mentee (how do you spell that?) should come prepared with questions and willingness to drive. I don't think this should be another "pitch practice" session unless that's specifically what the mentee wants although there's plenty of other forums for that.
