Ashley Long (Founder, Ember IP) provides legal services that are truly compatible with the demands of emerging companies. Prior to founding Ember IP, Ashley worked in several prominent intellectual property and corporate practices in Massachusetts. She earned her B.A. degree in theatre from Alfred University and her J.D. degree from New England School of Law, where she was an associate editor for the NESL Journal of International and Comparative Law. Ashley has also taught the subjects of trademark law, unfair competition law, and copyright law at Boston area law schools. She was an adjunct faculty member at New England School of Law, and has served as guest lecturer at New England School of Law and Suffolk Law School.
Adam Philipp is the Founder of ÆON Law has been involved in the strategy and prosecution of patent applications in the software, electrical devices, consumer products and related fields since 1998 and with Internet and technology related law since 1995. Ever the entrepreneur; Adam also can be found creating iPhone apps and electronic gadgets.
Chris Strand, MST, CPA, PFS is a principal in the tax practice of CPA and business advisory firm Bader Martin, PS. He also directs the firm’s high net worth practice. Chris’ work integrates tax strategies with accounting, financial and business consulting, and wealth planning for entrepreneurs and their ventures, as well as affluent families and their family businesses. Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Washington and a master’s in taxation from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Washington Society of CPAs and volunteers on a number of boards and committees.
Joe Wallin (Partner, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP) is a business transactions attorney whose practice focuses on emerging, high growth, and startup companies. Joe frequently represents companies in angel and venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, and other significant business transactions. Joe also represents investment funds, investors, and acquirers of businesses.
