Marketing for Entrepreneurs & Startups

Whether you’re getting ready to pitch your idea, launch a startup, or grow your existing company, you need to know how to communicate what you’re doing and spread your message effectively. Marketing isn't just for big companies.

If you're a startup trying to gain customers or if you're an entrepreneur with just an idea, it's the same – it’s all about communicating what you have to others – and 'marketing' can be anything from running Facebook ads, posting a message to your social media channels, or simply pitching your idea to a potential co-founder. And doing at least some form of marketing - wherever you are in your company's development - has become more important than ever, and can make or break your success..

  • But what's the best approach for where you are now?
  • How do you best communicate your message and what should that message be?
  • In what ways do digital trends affect your business?
  • Should you use Facebook Ads? Google AdWords? Or?
  • How can you effectively use marketing to grow and what can you do with a $0 budget?
  • Which ways will best maximize your efforts with your social media campaign?

Our marketing experts will cover all of this and more at this unique event and will show you tips and tricks you never knew about how to forward your company or idea. And, as at all of our events, you'll have the opportunity to get your questions answered.

An SEO Question - regarding Structured Data, Microdata and Google - does it help ?

Due to the Husky game, I was stuck in traffic for TWO HOURS (ugh), and contemplating simply giving up and going home. I am glad I didn't. The panelists were clear and concise, and we definitely got plenty of "food for thought". I've paid much more for other "marketing classes", and walked away with much less. It was great!

I am so frustrated, that I am ready to start my own site entitled, “Why I HATE Social Media Marketing Professionals.”

I am launching a small business as an importer and wholesaler. I have spoken seven Social Media Marketing Professionals so far. So far, they have proven to be disappointments. Very few are responsive to emails, some do not show up for appointments, and not a single one took the time to understand my business model. I seem to be talking to people who are either Social Media fanatics, without knowledge of Marketing. I know that there has to be better Social Media Marketing Professionals out there who understand business.

I look forward to hearing from the panelists and about how to have success in Social Media Marketing. I would love to know how to find GOOD Social Media Marketing Professionals, how to evaluate them, what the market rate for services is, and what to expect from Social Media Marketing. Thanks.

Well hopefully you enjoyed our event and found the panelists not too 'hate-worthy' ;-)

This was my first Meetup with this group and I found it extremely informative. The panelists were knowledgeable and straightforward, and the format felt more like a conversation rather than a lecture. I left with a lot of god information that I plan to put into effect. (Barry, thanks for your $5.00/month tip.)

I arrived late because of the traffic, so I may have missed it, but I hope next time there will be some organized networking as well. I was able to chat with some people after the meeting, and found it extremely useful as well.

I will definitely be at the next one.

I felt it was a very informative meeting, with great speakers who are experts in their domains. Together, the speakers presented a well-rounded perspective with one unifying theme: Get to know your customers and make every effort to connect with them, rather than simply push messages about your brand at them.

Learned a few things. Particularly impressed with the ability of the presenters to address different experience levels. The prime thing I took away was differentiating your target customer audience and your social media audience. Social media used not for driving sales but for increasing legitimacy.
