Mehdi Razavi is the Director of Clinical Arrhythmia Research & Innovation and a practicing electrophysiologist at Texas Heart Institute. He has founded multiple medical device startups including: Saranas, a smart cardiology sheath, and Nanolinea, conductive nanotechnology for the treatment of arrhythmia. Additionally, Dr. Razavi has supervised the development of a number of technologies in collaboration with Rice University and Texas A&M and has over 20 patents to his name.
Ben Hertzog earned his PhD in Biomaterials and Technology at Brown and spent 4 years in management consulting at McKinsey. In Houston, he has been VP at BCM Technologies, overseeing tech transfer and deal flow, and has been managing director at AlphaDev, a seed stage life science accelerator. Today, he is CEO of Procyrion, developing a circulatory support pump implantable without surgery.
