On Saturday, February 4th Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is hosting an all day Homeownership Fair. It will include classes on financial literacy, home repair, energy efficiency, and bank loans. All of the Fair attendees are low income homeowners needing repairs or low-income families looking into homeownership, either through Habitat for Humanity or through traditional lenders. This is a major event for our organization and our community, and in order to make it a great, free event, we need as many volunteers as possible. Please do your part for this special event from Thursday Feb. 2nd through Monday Feb 6th. All of the volunteer details are listed on our volunteer scheduling website. Habitat for Humanity posts all of our volunteer shifts on this website, so that individuals can sign up for whichever shift they fancy, at their own leisure. To access the site, head to our website, www.habitatla.org, click on the ‘Get Involved’ tab. The volunteer page will be there, and on the right side of that page is a big green square saying ‘Click to Volunteer’. By clicking that, you will be taken to our volunteer scheduling website! Enter the username and password you created when you originally signed up, and then all of our volunteer activities will be available for you to see and sign-up for. The shifts for this volunteer fair will be listed under the Special Events section.
I hope you are able to join us for this great event and I look forward to working with you one day soon! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
