Thanks to everyone who has already RSVP'd for our upcoming Meetup on July 8th. I've just posted some new details: The presentation will be given by Paul Scott, co-founder of Plug in America, the organization that is working to accelerate the shift to plug-in vehicles powered by clean, affordable, domestic electricity.
In addition, Paul will be showing off his amazing Toyota RAV4EV all-electric vehicle which has a top speed of 78 mph and a range of[masked] miles! The meeting starts at 7pm, and at 7:45pm we will view the film, Who Killed the Electric Car? If you care about reducing our nation's dependence on petroleum and improving the global environment, you won't want to miss this event!
Meet others "to explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth, to practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources, to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment, and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives."
We meet on the second Thursday of the odd numbered months, i.e. January, March, May, July, September and November at 7pm at Culver City Veterans Memorial Auditorium in the Uruapan room, 4117 Overland Ave., Culver City 90230.
Plenty of free lighted parking. Refreshments are served and there is always a lively talk accompanying the program. Feel free to bring a friend; all meetings are open to both members and non-members of the Sierra Club.
