Dig this, peeps: there are some "actual scientists" right here at CIIS - besides Frank Echenhofer - working on these issues, too; many of them are in ERIE. When James Fadiman presented for ERIE at our first conference, he made many congratulatory comments about our work and called us the next generation of psychedelic researchers. This excellent and professional documentary naturally presented elderly, esteemed, and well-established representatives of the preceding generation in order to impress the uninformed that serious scholars are working with these substances and are finding actual medical uses for them, in order to legitimize the research by calling forth traditional totems of academic sanctity. This is the tried and true MAPS approach, which is probably still the best idea given the socio-political clime; but whole new realms of meaningful, qualitative research are in progress right here, right now, in CIIS. Stay tuned for more presentations and other events from ERIE!

Wonderful documentary - thanks for having the event! Very exciting to see more efforts documenting and legitimizing - normalizing - use of the medicines.
