I've got to beg off from presenting tonight due to a major task from work that needs to be in tomorrow so it can be reviewed before the Friday deadline. I hope everyone will understand and we can reschedule my talk for next Wednesday.

My gen_server talk is pretty much ready to go, so I can do that. We can reschedule you for sometime soon - I just doubt that everyone will get word in time.

Not going to be able to make it tonight, unfortunately. But want to remind you all about the Dec 7th ErlangDC conference. More info & registration at www.erlangdc.org

Invite friends you think may be interested, and hope to see you there!

I missed the last OTP Study in Tyson Corner. What was covered and does this session build on that study session?

The bulk of the meeting was discussing what is basic structure of OTP. See https://github.com/dwa...

in the git hub there is a hello world example demonstrating a minimalist OTP. In the Wiki there is an explanation. ignore the other files.

We had a small fire in the building closing our meeting rooms until Nov. 1st. Bill, is this a good date/location for you? I went ahead and scheduled for Wednesday Nov. 6 at the NMB only because we needed to pull the trigger on this meeting. Date and location can be changed. Nothing is sacred. If there are problems speak up.

Tuesday is good for me, any thoughts? Also week of Nov. 4 is good too EXCEPT Tuesday. My office downtown is fine, but I liked Tysons too.

I can be ready to do this as early as next week, but I do not have a location. Anyone able to offer a place for us to meet again?

My thought is that the first hour will be an introduction to using Rebar, with an introduction to Eunit. The second hour would be a deeper dive into Rebar to cover some of the things needed when using Rebar on production projects (Agner, dependency management details, writing a rebar plugin).

I'm fully on board with using Eunit vs direct use of OTP -- seems to make life much easier.
