Lightning Talks + Hacking

Note: Make sure to enter through the East Entrance.

For our February meetup, we will start with a set of lightning talks, followed by free-flowing hacking.

So far we have the following lightning talks planned:

* Colin - Couch apps

* Frank - Embedded Erlang

* Bill - Evolution of Hermes

If you want to present a lightning talk, please email with your topic me: luc [dot] castera [at] gmail [dot] com. The talks should be between 5 and 10 minutes.

    We're starting to get a solid group of regulars, and some really interesting projects. I could learn a ton just from the side conversations and tangents. Thanks, folks - I had a great time!

    FYI, here is the write up from Eric explaining why Joxa, including how it's different from LFE: http://ericbmerritt.posterous.com/differences-between-joxa-and-lfe

    And, you can find Joxa here: http://joxa.org/

    Great to see more and more local (DC-MD-VA) folks getting comfortable enough with Erlang to do some *really* interesting things.

    Do we have anyone who can discuss web serving in Erlang? either one of the libraries or yaws? I know I'll be heading that way in the near future. There has also been an interesting thread going in the erlang-questions mailing list with no less than Joe Armstrong proposing direction for the greater Erlang community.
