“The Chicago ‘L’—Chicago's Biggest Mover & Shaker.” Greg Borzo

Greg Borzo, award-winning journalist and author who specializes on Chicago and its history, speaks November 3rd on “The Chicago ‘L’—Chicago's Biggest Mover & Shaker.”

In a rich illustrated presentation, Borzo will describe the growth of Chicago’s world-famous elevated and subway rail system that has been running 24/7 for 121 years. He will discuss how it came to be and why it needs to be preserved. Mass transit never looked so good!

Following each Sunday platform is an opportunity for the speaker to answer brief questions from the audience.  All the Sunday morning programs at the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago are free and open to the public. A children's program runs concurrently.

Please plan to stay afterwards for coffee hour -- a chance to meet the speaker and chat with members of the EHSC community.

A children's Golden Rule Sunday School program runs concurrently with the platform. Open to children from birth through 8th grade.  Children will explore the world and their place in it through discussions, play, crafts, and critical thinking. Newcomers welcome!
