Consciousness and Criminal Responsibility | Katrina Sifferd

Katrina Sifferd, professor of philosophy at Elmhurst College, speaks January 19th on “Consciousness and Criminal Responsibility.” Sifferd will discuss how the field of cognitive neurocience probes into the extent to which intent is tied into the commission of a crime. She will throw light on the role of the subconscious in our assessing criminal culpability.

Following the program, please join us for a Newcomer's Chat in the library. Those new to the Society are invited to join representatives from our Membership Committee to learn what the Society is all about in a relaxed setting.

Please join us for Coffee Hour after the talk. All are welcome to our Sunday programs, which are free and open to the public, and childcare is available. For more information, please visit ethicalhuman.org.
