Ethics in Film - Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001)

Doors open 6:30pm Suggested donation: $5, includes snacks and beverages

 Moderator: Chris Everett

Hedwig, a would-be glam-rock star from East Germany, undergoes a botched gender-change operation in order to escape from the Soviet bloc, only to watch the Berlin Wall come down on TV after being abandoned in a trailer park in middle America. Writer-director-star John Cameron Mitchell packs an astonishing mix of sadness, yearning, humor, and kick-ass songs with a little Platonic philosophy tucked inside for good measure.

Entry to our 100-year-old building and meeting rooms is available for most wheelchair users with prior arrangements. Please call ahead  [masked] x 107) for setup of our portable system and plan to arrive one hour before start time.

A Great film! Also some interesting discussion afterward, but ended too soon & I felt strangely 'mistrusted' . Maybe the next event will feel more Welcoming.

I love your "ethics and film" series, but Friday night is difficult because here is always a collide of events. Is it possible that future event could be arranged at a different day in the week? I bet in that case many more would able to attend your events...

No...this is the correct listing now. Sorry for the confusion. V was last month. This is the only listing for Sep 6

Given the confusion, should you pull all three listings (V for Vendetta, Hedwig, and the incorrect date) and try again?

Is it "V for Vendetta" or "Hedwig"?
