Ethics in Literature: A Reading Group

Members: free; guest: $5 per session Leader Dr. Anne Klaeysen will host a discussion on...

The Submission: A Novel by Amy Waldman.

A jury chooses a memorial for the victims of a devastating terrorist attack on Manhattan, only to learn that the anonymous designer is an American Muslim, an enigmatic architect named Mohammad Khan. His selection reverberates across a divided, traumatized country and through individual lives. Claire Burwell, the sole widow on the jury, becomes Khan’s fiercest defender. But when the news of his selection becomes public, she comes under pressure from outraged family members and collides with unscrupulous journalists, opportunistic politicians, and even Khan himself.

There is no charge for members; the public's suggested donation is $5.

I'd like to attend some of these gatherings but need several weeks' notice in order to get hold of books from the library. Also, my work schedule often doesn't allow for midday, or even early evening, meetings; but I will eventually make it to one.

Is the facility mobility scooter friendly? I haven't been able to attend an event, but can better get around now that I hv a scooter, but need to make sure it's accessible. Thanks!
