Presence Group Meet Up

You are invited to the next Presence group, the meeting is for 90 minutes. The meeting will begin with a few minutes of gathering and greeting. We will then move into silence and connected breathing to bring everyone into the present moment. (People who arrive late during this time will be invited to enter quietly and join the group in silence.) There may be a teaching of "direct experience" and and non-dual awareness. We may listen to an audio CD by a teacher of non-duality, or use some other practice, to help the mind settle further into awareness. Attendees may be invited to share their experience of presence as we practice speaking from presence and notice the shift of awareness moving into presence. This meeting can be very unusual, difficult and uncomfortable because it's not what we're used to when we get together in social groups. It's good to have a certain urgency about being in the present moment and what that might mean for you. The intention of this meeting is to have a direct experience of nondual awareness and is not a 'discussion group', as such. In accordance to Eckhart's teachings, there are no ideas to develop or anything to figure out. This is about going beyond the mind and veil of thought to 'just' experience the present moment, as it is. Consciously shifting from mind to presence and then watching the play back and forth is the intention. There may be an after-the-meeting gathering and discussion at the Starbucks that is located at Hwy 423 and Eldorado Parkway if the group is interested.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
