uh, waking up today and seeing the messages :( saddly in the end we won't be able to come, as we didn't know anything until yesterday, Matt couldn't ask to leave earlier from work, so we won't make it on time to Hamburg :( Enjoy the meeting and take a lot of photos!.. Who is still meeting? My idea:

Schachcafe (S-Bahn Ruebenkamp). Easy to reach with HVV, great (affordable) food, drinks - and we can sit inside or outside.

hmm but in a bar we can't really craft.. and don't know how cold it would be if from tonight until saturday it will be sunny also in Hamburg.. in a Cafe don't seem possible since the meeting starts (or should start) at 8pm... and at least Herr Max closes at 8... I still vote for outside, maybe in Planten un Bloomen...

I would prefer to meet in a bar or something like that so we can go inside when it gets cold. I don't know any good place since I just moved here recently but I would love to meet some fellow crafters.

Yeh well, depends on the craft I guess? Knitting or crocheting, painting, drawing I guess can be done in a park (picnic like I guess). Not the first time I've seen people doing that in public hehe... well let's decide sometime soon. Time is running fast... :)

What do we want to achieve? Just general barbecue/ meet-up? The a park with bbq sounds great. If we want to have some handmade moment in public - a park isn't the most likely choice, some cafe in the center would be better.

Either way, hopefully some HH people are actually gonna show up!

Gila, it is a very nice idea. Since some weeks in the Etsy Germany Street Team, ppl around München have been discussing what to do. In the end agreed to meet in a park or so. Would be a nice idea, just checked weather forecast and seems it won't rain (let's pray!) About crafting, great the public thing! maybe everyone makes what each one can bring or share? About places in Hamburg I have no idea, but I suggest a park or open place, maybe with picnic, grill, everyone takes something to share? :)

And I would LOVE to meet somehwere visible - if possible outside, in the sun - and really do some sewing, knitting, or crafting in public!

Maybe Herr Max again? Or some other cafe in the Schanze? Or to have it more centralized, one of the cafes in the Lange Reihe?
