Really easy - take S1/ HVV to Rübenkamp. You will already see an old, red-brick building when exiting the train - that's Schachcafe.
I will reserve a table for 8 people either in the garden or inside. If you don't see me with a huge sign in the garden, go on inside...
And PLEASE bring sth you made! We can have a show and tell! :)
If you need to reach me: 0163-1611660
Hugs, Gila

Posted by Gila von Meissner June 19, 2010 at 5:36 PMAwesome, Jessica! So glad you can make time before the Altonale!
Let's try and talk about some Christmas collaboration, too? Would love to get some people together for a joint market stand. :)
And... don't forget to bring a monkey or two!
Posted by Gila von Meissner June 18, 2010 at 9:58 AMI plan to be there! Thanks for letting me know :) Look forward to seeing you all :)
Posted by Jessica June 18, 2010 at 9:46 AMuh, waking up today and seeing the messages :( saddly in the end we won't be able to come, as we didn't know anything until yesterday, Matt couldn't ask to leave earlier from work, so we won't make it on time to Hamburg :( Enjoy the meeting and take a lot of photos!.. Be sure to join the Germany Street Team and be sure there will be more meetings to come!.. (Gila and Katrin thanks for getting the lead on this meeting) and happy sales!
Posted by Vanessa Kirsch Jimenez June 18, 2010 at 6:27 AMDetails have been updated - don't hesitate to call if you have questions!
I have also convo'ed some more sellers.... and would greatly appreciate a quick message from anyone else who has signed up - are you still coming?
Table is reserved, but I should really let them know the exact number of people in the afternoon.
But now - off to bed. :)
Posted by Gila von Meissner June 18, 2010 at 12:45 AMI am ok with that. I will be there.
Posted by Katrin Holst June 17, 2010 at 11:25 PMWho is still meeting? My idea:
Schachcafe (S-Bahn Ruebenkamp). Easy to reach with HVV, great (affordable) food, drinks - and we can sit inside or outside.
20h?
Posted by Gila von Meissner June 17, 2010 at 11:15 PMWe should really decide now. Or did I miss anything? Barbecue? Which park?
Posted by Katrin Holst June 17, 2010 at 11:10 PMhmm but in a bar we can't really craft.. and don't know how cold it would be if from tonight until saturday it will be sunny also in Hamburg.. in a Cafe don't seem possible since the meeting starts (or should start) at 8pm... and at least Herr Max closes at 8... I still vote for outside, maybe in Planten un Bloomen...
Posted by Vanessa Kirsch Jimenez June 15, 2010 at 9:20 PMI would prefer to meet in a bar or something like that so we can go inside when it gets cold. I don't know any good place since I just moved here recently but I would love to meet some fellow crafters.
Posted by Katrin Holst June 15, 2010 at 6:55 PMYeh well, depends on the craft I guess? Knitting or crocheting, painting, drawing I guess can be done in a park (picnic like I guess). Not the first time I've seen people doing that in public hehe... well let's decide sometime soon. Time is running fast... :)
Posted by Vanessa Kirsch Jimenez June 15, 2010 at 5:06 PMWhat do we want to achieve? Just general barbecue/ meet-up? The a park with bbq sounds great. If we want to have some handmade moment in public - a park isn't the most likely choice, some cafe in the center would be better.
Either way, hopefully some HH people are actually gonna show up!
Posted by Gila von Meissner June 15, 2010 at 5:00 PMGila, it is a very nice idea. Since some weeks in the Etsy Germany Street Team, ppl around München have been discussing what to do. In the end agreed to meet in a park or so. Would be a nice idea, just checked weather forecast and seems it won't rain (let's pray!) About crafting, great the public thing! maybe everyone makes what each one can bring or share? About places in Hamburg I have no idea, but I suggest a park or open place, maybe with picnic, grill, everyone takes something to share? :)
Posted by Vanessa Kirsch Jimenez June 15, 2010 at 4:48 PMJust posted on my faborite sewing forum. How about sending out some convos to fellow Hamburgers?
And I would LOVE to meet somehwere visible - if possible outside, in the sun - and really do some sewing, knitting, or crafting in public!
Maybe Herr Max again? Or some other cafe in the Schanze? Or to have it more centralized, one of the cafes in the Lange Reihe?
Posted by Gila von Meissner June 15, 2010 at 4:00 PM9 people !!! good at least 2 more.. where are we meeting??? confirmation please !!! via email, facebook or here.. !
Posted by Vanessa Kirsch Jimenez June 15, 2010 at 2:52 PMWhere are we meeting? Are we meeting at all? Don't disappoint me!!!
