Etsy Meetups Everywhere

I am looking forward to the party tonight! I am going to be a vendor at Made in the Shade, too! As soon as I get my booth set-up done, I will head over to the party with my carrots, hummus and crafty project in hand.

For beverages, what kind of beverages do we still need? Is it ok to bring adult bevies - I'm not sure how crafty planet feels about this... (also, maybe if that's the plan, maybe people should byob). Yay! I'm excited for tonight!

Got the box of goodies! There isn't much in the box that will be good for immediate crafting use - like a tote bag, a t-shirt, some markers/paints for porcelain. I think it will mostly go toward DOOR PRIZES. In that vein, if you have something you would like to contribute to a door prize drawing, please bring it. I'll bring some handmade soap!

I plan on attending with my mom. We will bring something for the potluck.

I am looking forward to this gathering. I was wondering if anyone else was participating in "Made in the Shade" at Tarnish & Gold this weekend too. I plan to set up my table and head over to the shindig.

An update from the organizer: We haven't received our party box yet so I'm not sure what sort of group projects are in store. Bring a project to work on this Friday just in case we don't receive it in time! If you've got supplies you'd like to share, feel free to bring those as well. We may need things like scissors and glue.

I live down the street from Crafty Planet, and get most of my fabric there. I will most definitely be attending!!! :D

This sounds great! I've been selling on etsy for almost a year now (quit my day job. yay!) and I'd love to meet other people in the area who are also doing this! And I'd like to learn more about HandmadeMN.

Three announcements: 1) We'll definitely be getting a party box from Etsy, full of all sorts of goodies! 2) Abbey T. has graciously agreed to help co-host. 3) There's a signup list for the potluck here - https://spreadsheets.google.... Please fill out what you'll be bringing, along with any details if you desire (such as whether a food is vegetarian/vegan, contains nuts, etc.)

Remember to share this event with all your friends! It looks like we'll be in the top 50 and will get some goodies from Etsy, but wouldn't it be cool to be in the top 10?

I have a backup space if needed, its more than big enough and its perfect for a potluck/party. There is a fee, but if we had 50 people willing to chip in 5 dollars, we could all have room to craft and mingle.

I am also interested in meeting other Etsyans. I am hoping there may be something happening up north here, I'm in Cloquet (near Duluth) but if not would like to come to this one.

Coming to Minneapolis next week to do a market research project with Etsy and/or craft fair shoppers. Must be a women in her late 20's who likes to mix it up fashionwise with chain store or dept store purchases as well as one-of a kind pieces or vintage. Also, HandmadeMN is starting to hold monthly meet and greets. Our next one is 6-10-10 at the Hennepin County Library at Southdale. We can give you more info on that if you want to check us out. We'd love to see you there!

Our group is extensive, and a lot of the people are active - so lots of help and friendship! No fees to date, but that may change.
