Shakespear on the Common

LOOK FOR A RED HELIUM BALLOON AT THE COMMONS

Shakespeare is coming early this year. That’s the reason for this late posting, but I thought it would be fun to meet for a picnic at the Parkman Bandstand in Boston Commons and watch the production of Shakespeare's "Two Gentlemen of Verona."

"Two Gents" tells the tale of two friends who leave their hometown of Verona to find their happy fortunes in Milan. Instead, they find temptation, trickery, and trouble as they vie for favor with the high-society Duke... and his debutante daughter. All are drawn into a web of disguise and secrecy where the last thing anyone wants is for the truth to surface -- least of all the dog. Inspired by Rat Pack-era Vegas -- the glamor, the hedonism, and the morning after agonies -- the production brings new meaning to the line "what happens in Milan, stays in Milan..."

I'll be camped out somewhere in front of the Parkman Bandstand at 6:30. Look for a red balloon. Bring blankets, chairs, umbrella (in case of rain), snacks and drinks (I don't think alcohol is allowed at the Commons). There will also be some food options for sale at the Commons this year.

I'm going to ask everyone to pay $2.00 at this event to help pay for the cost of the meetup site.  I'll be passing around an envelop at the event.

There was absolutely nothing particular about this. One could've gone alone. It wouldn't have made any difference.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
