The joie de vivre with food, music and dance. In Europe, they work to live, not live to work.
My parents emigrated from Greece to Montréal where I was born and raised, visiting Greece often. Since 1994, I have lived in almost every country in the Mediterranean (Spain for two years, France for one, Greece for one, Italy for three months), as well as Portugal (one year), and, like Socrates, consider myself a citizen of the world.
Favourite is roasted lamb with oregano-lemon potatoes, tomato salad, a loaf of Portuguese bread (for the olive oil in the salad and the lamb drippings). Favourite foods: Spanish chorizo, Portuguese morcilla, prosciutto di Parma, Polish Bigosz.
Ciao tutti! Lived in EU for years. I enjoy blending recipes together from different countries with local products accompanied with good wine.
Great group of very smart people who are well traveled.
