Metro - Metro is a board game designed by Dirk Henn where players lay tiles to form rail lines. The game starts with an empty square board with colored metro stations at the edges of the board. The object of the game is to make the rail lines as long as possible and therefore to score the most points.

Play constitutes laying one tile per turn. The player can use their card to extend their own lines, or to shorten the opponents lines. However, lines of only one tile are not allowed, unless there are no other places to place the card. Whenever a tile placement connects a train to a station (either on the edge or the center of the board), the player scores points: one for each tile that the route crosses. When a line makes a city connection, i.e. terminates at the center of the board, players score double. The game ends when the board is filled.

Samurai - This game is set in medieval Japan. Players use hexagonal tiles to surround cities, which have one to three different figures: rice paddies, buddhas, or high hats. The tiles represent influence on particular facets of the cities, and the highest influence on a figure when the city is surrounded takes that figure. The object of the game is to have more of any one else in one category, and then have the most remaining figures.

This computerized (available for Mac and PC) version of Samurai allows 10 trial plays and offers a good tutorial for new players. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to purchase the unlock code that enables unlimited play.
