Toronto EuroPubClub - a friendlier way of drinking Pages

Rain, tornado, or shine, we meet at 8PM on the last Wednesday of every month (locations To Be Announced) somewhere in Toronto.

Our hand-picked locations always:

  • are close to a TTC subway station: arrive alive, don't drink and drive! (that's right folks, I totally just quoted a dorky Public Service Announcement tagline)
  • have a great atmosphere for chatting (i.e. no convo-killing 1930's hip-hop music blaring)
  • have hideous waitstaff so I'll look more attractive by comparison
  • have decent food for anyone who gets crazy hungry

  • Wednesdays?
To avoid charging, I picked a day when pubs (generally) have less turnout. This means I don't need to "buy out" the bar to comp their (projected) losses from reserving the space for us.

  • 8PM?
8's my favorite number. Also, it's late enough so people won't immediately assume it's a sit-down-dinner. If you're hungry, eat, if not, drink. Happy happy.

  • What's up with the group photo, yo?
It's a screenshot of the opening introduction montage from the hit 1982-1993 TV show, "Cheers". I love that song! And yes, I did drink at Cheers when I lived in Boston.

  • Adorable?

  • Dude; how do you possibly have the time to devote to organizing all this? I heard (from a collectivity of very reliable sources) that you run a ridiculously awesome company called Marketcrashers.
Yes, everything you've heard is true. Check it out at Shameless plug!

Phew. If you read all the way down to this line, then you, sir/madam, are a trooper. Thanks!

Take care,
