The Critique Group

Welcome to the Evanston Writers Workshop Critique Group.  One of two foundational programs of EWW, the Critique Group is a group of professional and aspiring writers who help each other polish their writing.  Through workshop-style critique, writers have the opportunity to receive direct feedback from attentive readers who understand the craft of writing.  For more information, as well as submission guidelines and requirements, please visit our "About Us" page, here.

Friendly reminder:  please have your submissions uploaded by the Friday (midnight) before the meeting.

Sorry to reverse myself for two meetings in a row, but between neither of our printers functioning properly, and my sprained ankle casuing me a lot of pain and grief, I have decided not to attend tonight. Hope to see you all before long--

Thanks. Of course it doesn't help that the ankle bears considerably more weight than it did 10 years ago, or that we have 12 steps at home, or that I haven't given it a truly proper chance to heal, but oh well--

This will be my first meeting. Should I do or bring anything other than myself?

Just yourself, though you can bring a guest, too. See the e-mail I'll be sending you shortly for more information.

Enjoyed meeting everyone, at the meeting on the 20th, and now, thanks to Deborah, that I finally found out how to locate the recent manuscripts, I should enjoy it even more.
As a slow, but eager Internet learner, I'd like to know if anyone knows how to put their short stories out on kindle. I have a friend who is working on her third book, a Jane Austen sequel, and she says, "Oh it's easy."
