The more things change, the more things stay the same

Evanston Writers Workshop is changing. For those of you who don’t know, Evanston Writers Workshop received its 501(c)(3) not for profit status in March. We have been growing and expanding in leaps and bounds, but with that comes expenses. We can no longer afford to be an entirely free organization. Though we intend to keep are dues low so as not to put a strain on our members—a mere $25 a year—we will be limiting free visits to our critique and prompt groups to two. After that people will need to become members in order to attend our sessions.
 
What do you get for your membership, you may ask. Well, many things and the list is growing.
 
1.       Unlimited access to the critique and prompt groups you have come to know and love
2.       Free in-person and forum workshops
3.       Discounts on workshops taught by working authors and industry professionals, not to mention our amazing annual conference
4.       A rich and robust online community
5.       Ability to take a more active roll in our writing community. Gain exposure by submitting to our blogs or contests
