Speaking of Sunday brunches. I think the Galvez Hotel in Galveston has a fabulous Sunday brunch. I've wanted to go down to Galveston just to have their brunch again since it's been quite a while. Maybe it can be combined with something else, e.g., Moody Gardens or tour the 1892 Bishop's Palace.

And/or just taking off our shoes and walking on the beach collecting shells...

Moody is a great idea, Diane! Perhaps Debbie and Michael might consider a long weekend at the beach? Maybe a condo or a house in the vicinity? I have connections on Crystal Beach. Off season rates might be really be great!

Speaking of holiday brunches at Moody Gardens, I'll just put a bug in your ear now. They have incredible food, gorgeous food art on the buffet, ice sculptures, and live music. I've been there for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Mother's Day. Don't get me wrong--I love, love, love cooking all the special holiday foods. But especially since I'm separated and don't have any family in the state, going to Moody Gardens with my daughter for holidays is a great option. Check it out, Michael and Debbie!

It won't be August but at sometime in the near future. We like Brunch at the higher end locales that offer quality/value. : )

Holy cow, Debbie and Michael! Looks like you two have come up with another great place! Love it! So looking forward to it! Looks like this will rival holiday brunches at Moody Gardens!
