I enjoy creativity in films as it can help put real world issues in perspective. A film is the easiest medium other than a painting in which to convey important lessons in life that can either be avoidance related or goal related. Viva La Film.
Tied for first = Dr. Strangelove, Julius Caesar (1953), Casablanca, Fahrenheit 451, and 1984. Dr. S will be the answer of the day as it showed human frailties compounded with limited knowledge but was humorous on so many levels. Bravo Sellers.
I have a listing of top 40 that I will gladly share via email that actually numbers more like 50, but I group 3 together and offer the notion of "choose one" such as War & Peace, Gone With The Wind, Dr. Zhivago.
As long as the audience is not participating in a zombie horror flick as the appetizer for the carnivores, I am "game" for most presentations, including subtitles.
Yes, and my blood DNA under the TSA scans always shows little red apples and the initials NYC throughout.
Welcome Regis! I am very glad that you have joined and that you are both looking to teach and learn. It sounds like you will be a great asset to the group. This looks like it is shaping up to be a good crew. I welcome any thoughts that you have on helping us to realize our goals, and any specific thoughts on activities, events, and supports that you would like to see created. Sorry that we won't meet you Thursday - are you in NJ most of the time? We may explore some virtual connections.
Welcome, regis! We're glad to have you around (check out some of our upcoming dystopian selections - I think you'll take to them).
