This park slope brunch hotspot was the winner of our poll. Their unlimited mimosa/champagne/bloody mary brunch is also a great way for us to toast to the new year.

The saga continues! For someone that was offended by my vulgarity, he left a pretty vulgar message on my profile, that has since been deleted and he has also been blocked. I think men like him are more content to sit at home in their Superman briefs and watch Manga porn while eating a bowl of Fruit Loops than to actually venture outside and meet people!

I am really sorry he felt the need to personally attack you like that. Thankfully he removed himself from the group and we won't have to deal with his negative energy. Sadly I've seen there are number of people (both men and women) that join meet up groups and have that kinda of attitude. I don't see the point of joining meet

up if you are going to have that kinda attitude. Luckily the number of people in this group with that type of attitude is pretty rare.
Diana please there is no need for you to apologize! I think you know me well enough by now to know that I eat puny lil sniveling girlie-men like him for lunch! LMAO! In others words, I can handle myself quite well. lol
I just hope other members weren't put off by our exchange!
Oh I know you can that's why I didn't get involved in the comment war.
All I know is we'll need multiple Mowie Wowies this upcoming weekend to drown out the drama :)
I am always for extra Mowie Wowie pitchers. Maybe we should double fist them. Just kidding.
No she's not!!!!!
Yea M, she most certainly is not kidding lol
Sounds like we have some fabulous opportunities for pictures in the works lol
Hilarious M! Seriously.

The meetup went well and the things that didn't go well, were of no fault of Diana!
Food was good, drinks sucked. And the two women sitting in front of me both texted incessantly. aren't there any guidelines against this? It's not nice to be ignored.

I am sorry that you did not have a great time. I hope you will go to another meet-up and sit with a different group and have a great time. The company may not be great but it is always good to get out and try something new and be open to new ideas. I had a great time and sat with a group of people and truly enjoyed the unlimited mimosas :). Have a great day.

Well just like other social situations, we hope that the people we meet will practice proper etiquette - napkin on lap, no elbows on the table, no spitting out of food in their napkin if it tastes horribly. However, the organizer isn't anyone's mother and neither are the other attendees, so there's not really any way to "police" such practices. Maybe the next time you're in a situation like this, you may want to move your seat, grab a chair and pull it up somewhere else, or get up and mingle. These meetups are usually geared more towards being social and meeting new people, rather than observing good etiquette practices. Cheers!

Funny, but, M. Barry, I don't remember asking anybody to be my mother. I already have one! Interesting how the Aussies (see the website) just commonsensically say one should object.
0 · January 12, 2014
Funny but Thomas Smith you're being a huge douchebag. No one cares about your links to references that really have nothing to do with this Meetup. If I was Aussie, I would be offended. Since you say you didn't ask anyone to be your mother, why don't you put your big boy briefs on and grow the hell up! Stop complaining about things that are beyond your control! And do us all a favor... Don't come to anymore meetups if you continue to have such a negative attitude!

Great news that he left the group!!! He just made the worst person I ever met out of all the meetup events I went to! I was trying to ignore his ignorant comments. I only text twice during the entire event. That was under the circumstances when both he and the person sitting next to me weren't talking!!!
Thank goodness is right! There was no reason for him to be so arrogant and to keep on with it, after both Vera and I tried to give him advice. No worries UV, some people just can't be pleased!
Sorry UV you had to experience that. I figured Diana as well as the seasoned members in the group do our best to make every newcomer feel welcome. However we can't be responsible for people being socially awkward and not making the effort. Sorry to hear we lost a member but what can you do?
So long everybody. obviously Ms. Barry can't refrain from a) infantilizing baloney and b) vulgar language. Have a nice day!
I had great conversation with some lovely people. It was a great way to spend a nice Saturday afternoon.
A great group of people

Hi, brand new member here. Is it possible for the people on the waitlist to get a table together? I figure why not?
Hi Everyone! I will be calling the restaurant later today to reserve us a spot. Please remember to update your status if you no longer are attending. Also please remember to bring CASH, the restaurant limits only 2 cards per table. So if everyone only has a credit card we have a problem. Thanks again. Looking forward to seeing you Saturday.

something came up-sorry-next time!
Just looked on the website for the restaurant they only allow two credit splits per table. Please bring CASH.

Hello everyone! Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. Please remember to update your status (even if you are on the waiting list) so I can have an accurate head count for the restaurant. Thanks.
I would like to join your group. It sounds like a lot of fun.
