A free barcamp style workshop for discussion of Java related technologies, tools, frameworks, languages etc.
A barcamp is:
- an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment.
- an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants who are the main actors of the event.
(from barcamp.org)
The topics are determined by the participants at the start of the workshop kick-off on Friday night. As an indication of the types of topics, in May the Auckland group discussed GWT, Grails, Web frameworks, node.js, GitFlow, Groovy DSLs, Clojure, Scala, Whiley, Specification testing, Unit testing, OSGi, components, Android experiences, Maven, Gradle and a whole lot more..
Participation from recent graduates and current students is particularly encouraged.
