Arrivals > pint@paddy's

Following in the esteemed footsteps of my predecessors . . . The legendary 'Pint' at Paddy's lives again.

Open to all, its a great excuse for New Members, New Winterthurians and New Auslanders to meet, greet and break the ice with each other and the more seasoned of Winty's Expats.

Please RSVP, especially if your first time . . . as for the regulars, see you there !

Cheers

Here's the plan : when you walk into Paddy's, the bar is on the left hand side, and there are some tables tucked in that left hand corner. We have those tables reserved from 5:30pm to 7pm (some other group made a reservation 2 months ago). If you arrive before 7pm, you'll find us there. If you arrive after 7pm, look for the English speaking group with the "Meetup" logo sign located somewhere above our heads. See you guys and gals tomorrow evening.

Hi all. I have recently moved to Frauenfeld with my husband (and dog!) from the UK. We found your group on the internet and would love to join you at Paddy O' Briens next week if that's ok?

hi everyone! although i am not an expat (swiss, born and bred), i'd love to learn more about your meetups. i am 28 years old, married and, of course, i live in lovely winterthur.are "outsiders" allowed to join your group or it it exclusively for expats? as of language skills: a native speaker would know that i am not a native speaker, but i'm somewhere close to a cambridge proficiency. and i promise that my pronunciation will not make your ears bleed... ;)

Everyone is welcome Lucy. Although English is the common language generally spoken it is often not people's mother tongue and so I'm sure you will be fine on this front. It is really just a sociable get together to meet new people who have just arrived in Winterthur and also have a drink with friends who have been here a long time...

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
