Return of the Potluck ... We're Back Baby!

This is something I used to do for the various meetup groups and since my roommates and I now have living room furniture again, it's time. The way I work this event is that we do a potluck type of meal. Everyone brings something, whether it is food or a tasty alcoholic beverage. If you prefer something non-alcoholic to drink, I will have some soda on hand as my contribution to the festivities. If anyone has a portable barbeque & grilling supplies, we can probably set it up in the small back enclosed area by my kitchen. If you have i-pod with portable speakers, feel free to bring it. As a back-up option...we can play cd’s off the x-box in my living room. Most of my music is Latin-oriented so anything to round out the mix is much appreciated. I look forward to seeing you all on the 20th of April. Feel free to bring your friends.

Quick update on bbq foods. Rob is bringing 8 chicken cutlets, some vegan and regular hot dogs and 5 Johnsonville Italian sausage links. I will be contributing either 1-2 packs of Johnsonville Mild Italian Sausages or bratwursts (usually 5 links per pack). If you still have not figured out what you are going to bring in terms of food, possibilities for bbq: burgers (meat & vegan). Also in terms of burger toppings: onions, pickles, tomatoes, peppers, etc.
Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight. Contact #'s for people who may need directions:

IT'S GOING TO BE GOOD TO CATCH UP WITH OLD FACES AS WELL AS GREET NEW MEMBERS AS WE ARE 72 HRS AWAY FROM KICKING THIS OFF. AGAIN, A REMINDER TO BRING PORTABLE FOLDING CHAIRS WITH YOU IF YOU HAVE THEM. RIGHT NOW, MY ROOMATES AND I HAVE A COUCH AND EASY CHAIR IN LVING ROOM, BUT THAT IS EXTENT OF FURITURE WHICH PEOPLE CAN SIT ON. ALSO IF YOU ARE BRINGING INGREDIENTS WITH YOU, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO BRING APPROPRIATE SUPPLIES TO COOK THEM WITH. WE DO HAVE SOME POTS AND PANS, BUT IT NEVER HURTS TO HAVE SOME EXTRA IN CASE MORE THAN ONE PERSON NEEDS TO USE THE STOVE. SEE YOU ALL ON 4/20/13. I'M REALLY PYSCHED FOR THIS EVENT.

It also occurred to me that if anyone has any fold-up chairs they can bring with them, that would be good too.

I'm going to ask that people take a few seconds to indicate what they plan on bringing in terms of food to the festivities in the comments section so I can better prepare the kitchen for your use. Right now, I can tell you that you will have access to a stove with 4 burners and a microwave. In regards to socializing/mingling during the evening, I also have an old school trivial pursuit edition, RISK & Flip that Zombie Boardgames, as well as cards with poker chips which will be easily accessible. If you have any board games lying around like jenga, taboo, etc. feel free to bring them. It should be a great night, as I look forward to catching up with some of you as well as greeting new members of our group.
