Cris Valkyria (Vox, Guitar). Cris picked up the guitar to accompany her poetry at the age of 17 when she had left the nest to try out her flying capabilities. Though music was central to her heart, she put education first and graduated as a licensed psychologist from the University of Oslo, and managed to see quite a bit of the world before she settled in Philadelphia, USA where she currently lives with her husband and son. In Philadelphia she decided to focus on the musical aspect of her selfhood, and is currently active on the Philadelphia music scene as an indie artist. She frequently performs the major music venues in Philadelphia with her band The Valkyrians. She is also often seen as a duo with Lou Paglione; either performing original songs, or as a part of their children songs project: Cris & Lou.
Lou Paglione (Bass,Keyboards,Accordion, Guitar, Vocalist). Lou brings his musical expertise, songs and experience in former bands where he opened up for such acts as The Hooters and Cinderella. A veritable musical talent, Lou's first gig was as a 6 year old playing the accordion on the Al Alberts Showcase television program. Although his passion for music/art/sports, poetry and writing has been a lifetime affair, Lou, a graduate of Rutgers University, has spent his business career within the Commercial Insurance industry in Philadelphia. He is currently also active as the second half of “Cris and Lou” - a children song’s project he co-owns with Cris Valkyria.
