$5.00 once a year
Why: The cost of paying meetup.com to run the group.
To join there is a $5 per year fee to cover what I pay Meetup.com to run the group.
REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to safely belay with a rope, tie in with a figure 8 to a doubled back harness, climb at least 5.8 outdoors, have a belay device, harness and climbing shoes (you can rent the shoes and buy the device and harness at reasonable cost).
If you don't know how to belay take a class or have someone outside this group teach you:

Check your knots, check your partners knots, check your belay and anchor system. Climbing is dangerous.
You are responsible for your own safety and verifying that your climbing partners are safe. Causes of accidents: Climbing off belay, failure to tie in correctly or double back your harness. Incorrect use of a Gri-Gri, taking hand off rope or too much slack when belaying. Lowering/rappelling off the end of rope. Falling rocks or falling into rock (wear a helmet). Not being clipped to an anchor. Poor/inadequate anchors/protection.
If you no-show 2 times you'll be removed from the group. Please leave dogs and boom boxes at home. No kids under 13. Answer all the introduction questions and post your real name and photo.
7-10 pm every Tuesday. Meet climbers from several different meetups. Ask the staffer where we are or for Stacy or James. Day pass is $16, month to month is 28/month if you mention adventure people meetup. They only allow self locking devices like gri gris and cinches, bring your own or borrow one. I don't know if they charge for that. No charge to use their lead ropes. Read more
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.

“ If you enjoy climbing this is definitely the group. ”
“ Good group if you already climb(and belay!) competently and want to climb without being restricted to beginner-friendly areas. ”
