JOIN US FOR BICYCLING FROM WEST L.A. TO REDONDO BEACH

This 34 mile bike ride goes west on the Ballona Creek Bicycle Path from La Cienega and Jefferson Blvd. to Marina del Rey and turns south on the Marvin Braude Beach Bicycle Path to Redondo Beach.  We invite all bike riders who are comfortable and experienced riding 34 miles round trip on the beach or other bicycle paths for up to 2 hours of bicycle riding at 12 miles per hour each way.

The bike path from West Los Angeles  to Redondo is 17 miles one way and mostly flat but there are several up and down sections on the Ballona Creek Bike Trail going under bridges.

We will stop for lunch when we arrive at Redono Beach King Harbor.

MEETING PLACE AND TIME:

We will meet at the southwest corner of La Cienega and Jefferson Blvd. which is at a Metro stop on the Expo Line. We will depart promptly at 8:30 AM so please arrive by 8:00 AM to get ready to depart.

PARKING:

There is a parking structure there that has FREE PARKING. You can also ride the Metro with your bicycle, but please check the schedule to allow sufficient time by CLICKING HERE.

LUNCH:

We will dine on super fresh live Clams, steamed to order with a garlic sauce at an outdoor fish market on Redondo Beach Pier! The anniversary special cost of the clams is just ... SIXTY CENTS PER POUND!!! You may also want to try live sea urchin (Uni) which cost $15 per pound.

We will arrive at the fish market a little before they open because with this special deal, it will undoubtedably be mobbed.
