Step back in time and visit the Tao House where Eugene O'Neill, famous American playwright lived and wrote. Of all the places O'Neill called home during his restless life, Tao House held him the longest, the refuge where he wrote his last plays. This is a fascinating venue. As an aside, O'Neill's only child married Charlie Chaplin. There are photos of all of them in the home.
Many photographic opportunities on the site. In addition to the house itself, which sits on a knoll, there are beautiful vistas of Mt. Diablo and the surrounding area, a barn, swimming pool, and the grounds.
There is a limit to the number of people that can attend as we have to be driven to the house by Rangers. This is a reservation only event. I have managed to arranged for 2 vehicles (30 people). Be sure to arrive on time and have all your gear ready to go. The ranger would like us at the bus stop by 9:50 AM. Please change your RSVP if you are unable to attend as I need to give the Rangers an accurate head count.
