Free Workshop, Macro Photography

Please join us for this free workshop with Brian Tramontana on the West Valley Campus.  Meet in AAS15 (http://westvalley.edu/maps/) at 9am Saturday Aug 3rd.

Macro Photography opens up a world of possibilities for the photographer.  During our time together we will explore the theory and traditional tools use to see the world at 1:1 magnification and beyond. We will also talk about DIY options.  If you have a DSLR camera bring it, if not bring a SD memory card we will have some cameras available

Great workshop! Brian is an energetic and enthusiastic instructor. The lecture was comprehensive and clear with pointers to additional information. He put a lot of thought into the equipment, setup and experiments for the workshop portion and so there were lots of good fodder for practice. His classes at West Valley must be awesome. Looking at the schedule now.

Looks like we have a huge crowd and only 20 chairs in the studio so please bring a chair if you have one. We will be doing a lecture/discussion for some of the time. Parking is free because of the Farmers Market. Park in lot 2 at the opposite end to where the portable classrooms are and enter what looks like a loading dock. Please don't count on any of the AAS/TC exterior doors to be open as classes are not in session at this time.
    See you all Saturday

Will we need to bring a tripod or will we be doing mostly hand held? Will we need to bring any flashes or light modifiers?

    July 29, 2013

    • Brian T.

A tripod is always useful, but no modifiers
