1/25 Addt'l info:
We have a change to the submission guidelines for our February Assignment. In Gary's assignment that is posted on our web site under the "forms" tab, it states NOT to submit prints, just digital images. After review and feedback from members we are reversing this guideline. In other words, NO DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS FOR FEBRUARY ASSIGNMENT OF STORYTELLING, ONLY PRINTS.
For the assignment (Storytelling) instead of matting prints, please affix your prints to either one piece of foam board or illustrator board; both options are very inexpensive and can be found at Michael's, Aaron Brothers and most arts & crafts stores. Photos should be displayed in such a way that it "tells the story". First, establishing shot, then medium/vignettes, etc... To affix the prints to the board, you can use double sided tape or anything else that is hidden. Please do not use staples!
Foam / Illustrator board should be a minimum of 16" x 20"
Establishing and end shots should be a minimum of 8" x 10"
All other shots should be a minimum of 5" x 7"
You may still submit digital images with (or without) corresponding matted prints for the open category. As a reminder, for the February meeting only, please opt to do either the assignment OR open category. No member is allowed to submit for both this time.
PLEASE REMEMBER: Parking has been provided in The Village underground parking structure—DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT LOCATED ON CORBIN, THAT IS FOR VISITORS AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES.Take Prairie Street east off Corbin. Turn in the 2nd driveway on the right and follow the road around the backside of the facility until you see the parking entrance. You can park in any non-reserved parking space (most of these are against the walls). Take the elevator to the 1st floor. We meet in the Northridge Room, which is next to their Arts and Craft Room. There will be F/Stop members floating around to help you find your way.
Hope to see you all there!
