This applies to all talks. For an hours long prepared talk, after the first half hour of speaking, stop the talk and open it up to Q&A until the end. If no questions are asked because there is no interest or not enough questions are asked, then resume the talk. All talks should be listener centric, not speaker centric. After all, talks are for the listeners, not for the benefit of the speakers. I never had time to ask a question because there were so many other questions asked.
