We should do this because...
Veriplace (http://developer.veri...) enables developers to "location enable" apps with RESTful HTTP-centric APIs. This means FB developers can build FB apps that integrate the real world location of end users (which Veriplace gets from end users' mobile phones). The location info can be represented in any kind of app ? web, mobile web, and of course FB apps/widgets. Commercially live apps have already been launched on Veriplace.
It would be great to educate interested folks on the capabilities of Veriplace. This would be relevant for developers who want to build new location-aware FB apps or who want to add location info to existing FB apps. Also, it would be a super opportunity for anyone interested in coming up the learning curve on LBS (location based services) both generally and in the context of Facebook.
