Stars and Stones! It’s a Harry Dresden Party!
The land of Faerie is located in the Nevernever, and is divided into two territories, respectively controlled by the Summer and Winter Courts. Each territory is permanently in its corresponding season, and they are forever locked in a dance of battle, trying to keep the seasons from changing, inevitably allowing the other court to have control for half the year.
The Majority of Faerie, however, is Wyld and owes no allegiance to either Queen. The Queens Mab (Winter) & Titania (Summer) are strategically setting aside their differences for a night of entertainment to try and entice Wyld fae to their cause. The gala’s guest of honor is the fabled Wizard Harry Dresden, who has come to the aid of Faerie on more than one occasion.
Join us in the Valley of the Stone Table, the pivotal point of power for the fae courts, to sip on tasty beverages inspired by faerie and wizard magic alike, and perhaps the mythical beeromancer Mac will make an appearance to quench your thirst.
Here's the schedule for the evening:
4pm – Site opens
7pm - Bar opens
9pm – 18+ Only; Members-Only Toast & Photo
2am – Bar closes
3am – Event ends
10am Sunday - Clean Up Crew!
If you've read any of The Dresden Files books, pick any character you'd like to cosplay! If you're unfamiliar, there are fae (winged and not), wizards, vampires, werewolves, and a whole variety of more mundane characters to choose from too! If you're unfamiliar with the Dresden series, please feel free to dress as any kind of faerie, vampire, etc that you like, without worrying about trying to be a specific character. Since the Dresden Files is set in current day Chicago, there are also many "mundane" characters one could choose from, if desired: cop, doctor, mobster (executive suit), etc.
Guests are encouraged to bring a donation to the party in the form of a food dish, beverages, bags of ice, or a $5 contribution for entrance. This helps The Endless continue to host amazing parties! There will also be a separate donation jar at the bar (alcohol is not cheap). Thank you!
FOOD & DRINK
You are welcome to bring as much or as little as you desire, though keep in mind this will be a relatively large gathering. ALCOHOL
Adult beverages will be available at the bar for those 21 and over. (Do not give alcohol to a minor or you will be asked to leave the event.) Please feel free to donate as much or as little alcohol as you can, whether it's a 6-pack, a bottle/handle of your favorite spirits, mixers, mixed drinks, wine -- even bags of ice are also gratefully appreciated!
Family-friendly crafting, games, and activities are in the works!
BEHIND THE SCENES
As you know, a great deal of time and effort goes into these events. We'd appreciate it if you'd consider offering a two-hour of your time behind the bar or helping in the kitchen, decorating, or helping with setup or cleanup -- please contact one of the Event Heads to volunteer.
SPENDING THE NIGHT
There is some couch & floor space available for those that would like to stay overnight -- please contact the Site Hosts to make arrangements.
