Faerie Raide on Glendale Glitter and Glow

Gone are the days that we can just breeze into a Glendale event in costume to gift without being thrown out. Instead, I have found two different stores that will permit the fae to attend. I have a whole mess of candy canes that we can hand out, though most any safe faerie keepsakes that you could add should go over well. This won't be a direct advertising opportunity (other than alerting people that we are still around!). This is the final night of the downtown festival, and involves a swarm of hot air balloons tethered to the ground acting as enormous space heaters. It can be helpful to design a costume that has layers as it can be extremely cold outside the fest while being quite toasty near a balloon.

First off we will meet at Healthy Baby Happy Earth at 7149 N. 57th Drive 85301. The mother and daughter owners sell earth conscience baby products, and have hosted us in the past. We are invited to use the front yard of their store front for our own devices between 6pm and 8pm. They are packing it in early because they are short staffed due to an injury, however. That is where the Astrology Store comes in (5735 W Glendale 85301). Glendale's purveyor of occult and new age goods and services will permit us to do our thing inside of the store (sidewalk is off limits!) Their new location is much larger inside so we won't run into the cramped situation we have had in the past.

Any faerie costume would be fine, though you probably want to steer clear of anything too scary for the baby shop's benefit. In past years we have made seasonal variants of our usual fae, such as a spruce green man or peppermint pixie.

I am going to call off the normal 3rd Thursday meeting for this month, by the way.

I don't know at this time. Went waited and had to leave before anyone showed up.

No one else showed up. We were there at 6PM the planned start time. No one was there so we walked around for a while and came back. Still no Faeries. Then we sat at a restaurant where we could see the store for half an hour. Still never saw any Faeries. Well you know, Faeries are known to be shy and secretive so maybe...

There will be literally many thousands of ordinary humans in attendance. Feel free to stop by and have a chat.

Hello, I am just a run of the mill Pagan and very interested to learn more about the Faerie Folk. Is it ok for an ordinary human to attend?

Parking will be available in the neighborhoods outside the event proper, but tends to get very congested as you get closer. There is pay parking within the event, but it is $10.00 per person. Additionally, free parking is available at Glendale Community College 59th Ave & Olive Ave with free shuttle service over.
