Health Canada recommends that adults accumulate at least 150 minutes of physical activity every week. The benefits of being active include: having more energy, better overall health, stronger muscles and bones, healthy weight management, and higher self-esteem. The purpose of this Meetup group is to help make exercise enjoyable through group activities.
Being healthy not only means being active, but also eating right as well. We plan events to help educate our members on the benefits of eating a balanced diet, and show them new ways to improve their eating habits and nutrition.
This Meetup accepts all people. It doesn't matter how old you are, where you're from, what you do, as long as you are friendly and willing to participate in our events. Let's all motivate one another and hold each FAHM member accountable for their fitness and health!
