Thanks for stopping by and visiting our home on the Web! If you're looking to meet more Hip Mamas, just like yourself - then you've come to the right place!! Please read through this page to see if we are the right group for you!

We are network of moms in the Mississaga area who regularly meet to provide support to one another and provide friendship and interaction for our young children (0-8yrs). Our goal is to always have fun, to provide a stimulating environment and make lasting friendships. Our group is not just an online mother's group, but on offline community of mothers and families. Our events range from meetups at playcenters, in-house group play dates, small groups such as potluck rotation, couples/moms night out, bookclubs, blended families small group, health and fitness group (walks, swimming, hiking, sports), parks, and trips to child friendly attractions like museums, zoos, local orchards and splashpads- you name it, we can probably organize it :-)

Who can join Mississauga Hip Mama Meetup?
We warmly welcome any expecting moms, stay-at-home moms, back to work moms?You get the idea! Essentially anyone who would like to actively participate in group events, whether you are a stay-at-home mom who needs to get out during the day, or if you've gone back to work and need things to do on weekends.* Even though our group name is Mississauga Hip 'Mamas' - we are also open to Hip Dads- by referral only though!


We ask that you
1) Attend a minimum of one event every 30 days, and that you login on the site at least once a month. Members who do not attend on any sort of regular basis are subject to removal.
2) We also require that you post a photo of yourself somewhere in your profile, this is mandatory within your first week of having joined. While it does NOT have to be your main photo, we would like to think that we could recognize you when we are out at events.
3)Playdates at members' homes cannot be attended by any member who has not attended a public event first, and who does not have a photo of themselves on our site.
4) You do not have to RSVP "no" if you can't make it to an event. But please only RSVP "yes" for events if you are sure you can attend. After three "no shows" (RSVPing yes and then not attending) we reserve the right to remove you from our group - however, you will probably just be given a friendly warning.
5)There is absolutely NO lurking allowed. Once you join, regular participation is a must! This is for the safety of all the families involved! Also - please keep in mind that the introduction you write will be seen by all of our members when they log onto our site. So?. give us a great introduction!! We are looking forward to getting to know you and your family!

Dear Moms:

With all this stuff that a mom needs to do in a day - I say we are all pretty hip, aren't we?!
Every mom is a "Hip Mama"! You don't have to join our group to call yourself a Hip Mama.

A Hip Mama always seems to have her hands full. We are that - and so much more to our child/ren! I wanted to post the poem below for ALL the HIP MAMAS who visit our site, even the ones that just are passing by it. Please keep it as a reminder of
how important you are to your child - even if you don't end up joining our group for whatever reason!

TO YOUR CHILD YOU ARE EVERYTHING?..(YOU ARE ONE HIP MAMA)!!
You are the DENTIST who uses a string.
the SUNSHINE on a cloudy day.
the STORY TELLER when your child can't get to sleep.
the HAIR STYLIST on the night of the prom.

and DISHWASHER who never complains. (except once in awhile)

the EGO BUILDER, picking your child up when they're down.
the DRUGGIST who knows the cure for pain.
the PRAYING HANDS that guide spiritually.

You are the GUARDIAN ANGEL who keeps your child safe.
and as your child grows older, he will learn more and more that
You are the FRIEND who puts real meaning into the words "I Love You"!
