Pattern Making is a 7 week class that covers the basics. Students learn to develop basic body slopers using standard specification measurements, explore collars and basic sleeve shapes and develop paper patterns with an emphasis on fit and balance. Specifications will be explored in relationship to pattern development and finished garment measurements with the goal of creating a high-quality production pattern. Cost: $299.00
Instructor’s Bio: Leslie Eric Francis is a NYC based fashion consultant who is a master pattern maker and tailor who has worked for Issac Mizahi, Donna Karan, Ellen Tracy, Liz Clairborne,Vera Wang, Banana Republic, Jones Apparel, and other NY designers and companies. He has taught Pattern Making, Pattern Grading, and Menswear design classes at Parsons School of Design and Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). He is a graduate of FIT.
