The "New" Colorado History Museum in Denver has a wealth of exhibits none of us has seen with the group ... so we're going to remedy that situation.

The American Soldier, All Aboard Colorado, Denver Diorama, Denver A-Z are some of the exhibits that will be open for us to enjoy. For details see:

http://www.historycolorado.org/museums/exhibits

Location: 1200 Broadway, Denver, CO

The museum is open from Noon - 5:00pm on Sundays

Tickets cost: Adults $10., Over 65 and students with an ID $8.00.

Parking: Just north of the museum at the Cultural Center Parking Garage

Round trip is maybe 150 miles, plus parking cost ... riders please chip in to cover the drivers gas and parking expenses.

Ft Collins members will meet at the P-N-R at 10:30 am, Greeley members can leave a little later ... we'll gather at the museum entrance at Noon.

There's no plan for lunch in this event ... so we can eat a late breakfast, munch in the cars on the way down, or get a bite afterwards. or eat at the museum. If we leave Denver by 3:30 we'll be in Ft Collins by 5 pm, if you leave Denver by 3:30 pm you can be in Greeley by 5 pm.

I plan most all of my events on Sunday. Some, like the Greeley Model Railroad Museum aren't open Sunday, so those are on Saturday. Janna, owns her own business, and only has Sunday off, so her events are mostly on Sunday too. If you'd like an event on a Saturday and are willing to lead it, contact Marcio and he'll get you access so you can plan events too. It takes less than an hour of my time to plan and follow-up on questions and all that's involved.

It certainly sounds like a museum I would love to visit. I had two other events on Sunday, so sorry I could not go.

Colorado History Museum was definitely worth 5 stars! Not only did it contain a rich & varied wealth of information about this great state, but ALSO:
    * it is very hands-on
    * most of the museum is bilingual
    * it contains a great little restaurant
    * there were live performers (dancers)
It is well-worth the fee as is, and they are creating new exhibits. When they finish, the museum will be twice its current size. I'm so happy I was able to go. Hats off to Jack for making it possible, and for the entertaining trip there and back!

We're on, looks like maybe only 2-3 of us are going. We'll aim for leaving the museum at 3 pm or earlier to accommodate you. We'll pick you up around 10:45 Sunday at the P-N-Ride at I25 and 34. What sort of vehicle will you be driving?

Is it still on? If so, when will we be back & can I meet you at Hwy 34 & 1-25? (My other road is blocked now.) Also, time we'll be back?

I've had a situation that's just come up so unfortunately I won't be able to attend the CO museum trip.

I'm ok with that time. I have enough room to have everyone ride with me if you're all interested, though I need one of you to navigate since I don't know the streets in Denver that well.

So with 4 going we could all fit in 1 car. Does everyone agree to getting back to the 1-25 & Hwy 34 area by 4:00-4:30? If any of you do, please let me know and we can ride together. Thx!

So happy to be going to this museum! Sunday is always a bad day for me, but I can swing it (depending on traffic, may have to leave the museum by 3).

I am coming from Greeley and can take up to 3 riders. If not, perhaps meet FC folks at Park-N-Ride at I-25 and CO 402?
