This is a special meetup for the purposes of creating our own vision boards!
Anne Wondra, a local Wellness Coach, emailed me a great 'how-to' article on vision boards that I've excerpted below:
"A vision board is a visual, experiential creative art project. When it's completed, you will hang your vision board in a place where you can see it daily to visually remind you of your heart's desires and your intentions for the new year.
"The science behind vision boards is that our thoughts and emotions are made of an energy that attracts like a magnet. All inventions and creations begin with a thought, an idea. When we put our thoughts and emotions in the direction of what we desire, in positive and consistent ways, we open ourselves to receive what we desire, and draw the essence of those experiences to us.
"Vision Boards can focus on one area of your life, or several. You can use pictures--cut out of magazines or drawn by hand or printed off a computer. You can write or cut out words. Make a WISH LIST. Include it on your vision board. Follow what you are attracted to also. You can't get it wrong. PLAY with it. And put it together on a poster board.
"And finally, make sure you SHARE the Vision Board with someone. Tell them about your Vision Board, what you put on it, and why. The telling of our Vision Board story allows us to HEAR our vision, helps us speak to what we want, what's coming from our heart; allows others to hear what we want...and offer their support and affirmation. Who you are today and tomorrow begins now."

For this meeting you will need to bring your own Poster board/construction paper, scissors, and glue stick. There may be extra glue sticks or scissors that you can borrow from another but it's best to come prepared. We should have plenty of old magazines, and markers/colored pencils—but feel free to bring your own if you'd like.
I'm looking forward to a fun-filled, creative evening!
