It's only been a bit over two weeks since we needed to ask you for help, but we really need everyone to seriously consider fostering an animal. There are a lot of animals that need our help; spring is a very busy time for any rescue/shelter organization. We continue to receive calls about abandoned kittens and stray animals. Below are the requests we have received in just the past two weeks.
STRAY CAT: young, gray, very friendly, has all claws. Believed to be dropped off in a box at a rural goat farm and is hanging at a neighbor's house. Appears to be an inside cate. Follows the property owners around when outside, is very sweet and affectionate. They have several cats of their own and can not take in another.
KITTENS! Litters of kittens still needing to come indoors. Two litters of four each, another of 3-5, 4 kittens still living in a shed that are about 9 weeks old, and an elderly gentleman and his wife have been nurturing 9 kittens he wants to give us. All between the ages of 6-10 weeks.
SURRENDER: older male 4-paw declawed cat to be surrendered. Single mom has "too much to take care of". She has 3 dogs, a young son, and one 13 yr old cat, and the cat has to go..........
SURRENDER: 2 older 4-paw declawed Maine Coon look-alike cats. Unknown if they are truly purebred. Both are males, one is 10 and one is 14 yrs old. Son has developed an allergy and the cats are living in the basement. Very nice friendly cats.
TWO smaller dogs, appear to be Miniature Pinschers or mixed. Elderly woman can not care for them any longer. We are trying to get more information.
FROM our previous request for foster care:
Black 8-yr old female front declawed cat. Owner is moving and cannot take cat along.
Two 6-month old neutered male kittens. One may have a hearing disability. Now living outdoors. Orange friendly younger cat living under a deck. Property owner does not have time to care for a cat.
