Calling all Triad feminists! This group is primarily intended as a networking and discussion group for women who want to help fight sexism and gender inequality in our culture while making some new friends.
I would like to schedule some events to allow us to meet each other in a fun, non-threatening setting that promotes friendship and activism. Some events can be more social in nature, while others may lean more toward a project or event as the group desires.
Emphasis: fun and engaged, not stuffy and preachy. Possible events (feel free to make suggestions):
*girls' night out
*community service projects
*empowerment & enrichment activities When you join please take a moment to tell a little about yourself, including what led you here and what kinds of events you'd like to participate in.
The group name is also up for discussion. Feel free to make suggestions!
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
