The Friendly Feminist

Calling all Triad feminists! This group is primarily intended as a networking and discussion group for women who want to help fight sexism and gender inequality in our culture while making some new friends.

I would like to schedule some events to allow us to meet each other in a fun, non-threatening setting that promotes friendship and activism. Some events can be more social in nature, while others may lean more toward a project or event as the group desires.

Emphasis: fun and engaged, not stuffy and preachy.

Possible events (feel free to make suggestions):

*girls' night out
*readings
*community service projects
*empowerment & enrichment activities

When you join please take a moment to tell a little about yourself, including what led you here and what kinds of events you'd like to participate in.
