Dick Miller: The Supreme Court, The 10 Commandments, and The US Constitution

Our featured speaker will be our very own FFRF Board Member, Dick Miller.

He will present The Supreme Court, the Ten Commandments, and the US Constitution’.

Have you heard the utter balderdash that the US Constitution is based on Biblical Law & the 10 Commandments?

Have you heard that Moses & the 10 Commandments are prominently featured throughout the Supreme Court building?

Would you believe that Mohammed is shown there too?

Come learn the facts.

Now that “historian” David Barton has been rebuked by his own evangelical camp, and his publisher has recalled his latest book, “ The Jefferson Lies”, for inaccuracies (nice word for bold-faced lies!), join us to celebrate!

We’ll be continuing our crusade to dispel all “USA is a Christian Nation” myths, support church/state separation, advocate for the rights of non-believers, and all the while enjoying the companionship and lively conversation of like-minded rational people.

At the cashier, tell him/her you are with the Freedom From Religion meeting. We have the back room reserved. You may partake in the “all you can eat” buffet breakfast for our special price of $8.50.  (Be sure to mention you are with our FFRF group to get our negotiated discount!) Or if you prefer to skip the meal, tell them you are only attending the program, and they will gladly point you to our room.

See you Sunday!  Thanks for your support of FFRF!

Dick's presentation was very informative. The part I enjoyed the most was finding out about all the decorations on the Supreme Court building. Fascinating! And very well presented, as usual. If you haven't had the chance to enjoy one of Dick's talks, be sure to catch the next one! (If you have some kind of group and you'd like Dick to come and speak to them, contact him and arrange it.)

Yes, I expect that this meeting will end around 11am, so the lunch event will be in the same banquet room. This will allow people to mingle, especially if they couldn't make it earlier.

Hey Karen, I tried to reply to your message to me, and Meetup said you are "unreachable" at the moment, and to check back in a few days!

      I think it's your e-mail.

Anne sent out an e-mail reminder which has a type-o on it. The reminder says the meeting starts at 9:00, but it actually starts at 9:30 am. I doesn't hurt to come early to get your food first. You don't want to miss any of Dick's presentation!

it is an all important question to talk about and to voice our belief that religionists seem to think that america means and needs religious mythology.

There is also a PAMG meeting at the Hometown Buffet at 11:00 that morning. Are they in the same room?
