Baton Rouge, LA
Third Street Film Festival rises again to the spotlight of Louisiana's independent film community.
BATON ROUGE, Louisiana - October 11, 2012
The Third Street Film Festival has once again opened it’s doors for Louisiana film submissions in 2012. The Festival was founded in 2011 as an exhibition and celebration of the state's finest independent films. Diversifying in its second year, the festival is now accepting both short and feature length submissions.
The festival is to be hosted at the Manship Theatre at the Shaw Center for the Arts on December 28th and 29th, 2012, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The festival’s mission is to encourage, foster, and unite Louisiana's talented independent film community, while at the same time educating and inspiring the public about Louisiana’s independent films and their messages.
After a sold out festival last year, the Third Street Film Festival aims to become a destination event for the capital city of Louisiana. The festival will be an extravagant two day event where film enthusiasts, industry professionals, and the general public come together for the benefit of Louisiana's thriving film community and cultural scene.
The regular deadline to submit a film is November 2nd, and the extended deadline is November 16th. To qualify for review, the film must have been shot in the state of Louisiana and meet entry guidelines. Sponsorship Notifications: The 2012 Third Street Film Festival is sponsored by The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, or I.A.T.S.E 478.
