Renzo, sorry, your question sounded as you wanted to learn about movies with a deep philosophical content. However, if you are interested in philosophy of movies, this is a part of philosophy of art and you can read the basic things in Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, article "film" or make a google search with "philosophy of movies" or "philosophy of films" to find more specific ideas. Although, I find their dicta rather useless.
Renzo, Regarding the "Celluloid" meetup, although I like its idea, I don't like that the selected movies are action movies based on criminal stories. I prefer deeper, not mainstream movies. Thee are some movies by Woody Allen but mainly foreign ones: by Haneke and Fassbinder (Germany), Godard and Bunuel (France), Fellini, Bertolucci, Pasolini (Italy), Polansky and Kieslowski (Poland), Kurosawa and Ozu (Japan). Hope my taste is not too disappointing to you
